Prime Minister Sushil Koirala met with US President Barack Obama during a reception programme organised by the latter at New York on Tuesday night.
Koirala, who is in the US to participate in the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly, informed US President Obama about the ongoing constitution drafting process in Nepal. According to Nepal’s Permanent Mission in New York , Koirala also invited Obama for Nepal visit.
The reception was hosted by Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in honour of the head of states participating in the assembly.
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala held meeting with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the margins of the 66th United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday. The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interests, said a statement issued by Nepal's Permanent Mission to UN in New York .
Development of Lumbini, improving connectivity between Nepal and Sri Lanka, and issues concerning the forthcoming Saarc summit were also discussed.
Invites Obama to visit Nepal
PM Koirala has invited President of the United States of America Barack Obama for a visit to Nepal.
Koirala extended the invitation during a meeting with President Obama on the sidelines of the 69th UN General Assembly in New York today, according to the PM's press coordinator Prakash Adhikari.
