Hariban-based Indu Shankar Sugar Mill in Sarlahi caught fire on Saturday afternoon. As many as nine fire brigades from Chitwan and Dhanusa have reached the site to put out the fire .
Police said that the fire raged from the leftovers of sugarcane shoots. Police also speculate that there could be more damage as the Sugar Mill which caught fire was close to the nearby human settlement area.
The fire has not been able to spread beyond the sugarcane leftovers.
The employees of the factory suspect that electric short circuit might be reason behind the fire .
