Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on Wednesday and sent to Tihar Jail till May 23 by a Delhi court. He is sent to jail after he refused to furnish bail bond in a criminal defamation complaint filed against him by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. Protests erupted around 7pm outside Tihar jail. Kejriwal, who was taken into judicial custody earlier in the day in connection with a defamation case.
