Popular lyricist and poet Kshetra Pratap Adhikari died of heart attack on Sunday night.
Familiy sources said that Adhikari, 72, was admitted to Sahid Gangalal Heart Center on Saturday night after the attack where he breathed his last.
Born in 1999 BS in Mirlung, Tanahun district, Adhikari is best known for the song Ma Ta Laligurans Bhayechu. Some of his popular publications are Rahar Lagera, Pahad Dekhi Pahad Samma, Feri Euta Pariwartan, Tara Desh Rahirahecha, among others.
Adhikari was also nominated as the Deputy Education State Minister during the Panchayat regime. Adhikari had declared to donate his body to Dharan-based B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences after his death.
