Domestic violence against women are increasing in Darchula

APRIL 07 - DARCHULA. 

The incident of violence against women or VAW is found to be increasing in the district.

Domestic ViolenceAccording to a tri-monthly report published by INSEC Darchula, the incidents of VAW continue to rise in Darchula.

In the past three months, eight incidents of VAW were reported in the district, according to INSEC district representative Narendra Karki.

Likewise, a total of 14 incidents including two murder, two suicide, one trafficking and one polygamy took part during the period.

Speaking at the programme, Chief District Officer Dharmananda Joshi called for joint effort of all to fully discourage incidents of violence against women. RSS
