APR 30 - ILLAM,
A woman died due to lightning strike at Shantipur-8, Ilam district on Tuesday night.
She is 38-year-old Sudikshya Lapcha. She was struck by the thunderbold at her house, the District Police Office, Ilam stated.
Forty-year-old Phulmaya Lapcha, 28-year-old Dhanamaya Lapcha and 22-year-old Sanam Chhiring Lapcha have been seriously injured in the incident and they are undergoing treatment at the Kankai Hospital in Jhapa.
Likewise, 70-year-old Karna Bahadur Limbu of Jeetpur VDC-9 has been injured by lightning . He is being treated at the District Hospital, Ilam.
